Katharine Hope McPhee is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and model born on March 25, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. She finished as runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol in 2006. Her debut single, "Over the Rainbow," was released in 2006, followed by her first original single, "My Destiny," and her self-titled album, Katharine McPhee, in January 2007. She played the lead role in the 2011 film "My Groom's Show" and has starred in the series "Life Is a Show" since 2012. She is married to David Foster.
