Kate Lambert, known professionally as Kato, is a Welsh model, fashion designer, singer, and entrepreneur born on September 16, 1983, in Wales, United Kingdom. She founded the clothing line Steampunk Couture in 2005 and emigrated to the United States in 2007. She is one of the most recognizable figures in the steampunk community, and the comic heroine Lady Mechanika was inspired by her look. Her work has been featured in several books on steampunk art and fashion, including International Steampunk Fashions.
